B&W 35mm Blow up

I'm shooting a project this weekend with the DVX100A. We will be shooting in color but the image will be desaturated in post. Once the final project is edited, it will be transferred to 35mm black and white film. The settings that I intend to use are 24PA, with vertical detail set to thin and NO anamorphic adapter. We want 16:9.

My question is "What would be best for a 16:9 aspect ratio?", "Letterbox" or "Squeeze mode". Would "lettter box" be safest, for the transfer? Will shooting in "squeeze mode", introduce some kind of video artifacts, because of the digital stretch later in the transfer? The transfer lab suggested I shoot a test with a resolution chart, but I do not have the time.

Any recommendations regarding camera settings and answers are most welcome.
