B&H Prosumer Sourcebook

There is a 4 page spread on the DVX100A in the new B&H Prosumer sourcebook. Nothing we owners of the camera don't already know though.

Re: B&H Prosumer Sourcebook

Yeah. The B&H "Sourcebooks" look cool on your shelf, but they're really just catalogues.

At least some of the other ones give basic tutorials, though.

Re: B&H Prosumer Sourcebook

Guess its just me but I have trouble calling the DVX prosumer when it is in the same catalouge as a Canon zr-80 for example. :-/ why doesn't B&H just keep it in the pro book where it belongs ;D

Re: B&H Prosumer Sourcebook

Not sure but in my other B&H catalog (get them every few months) they have it listed in the PRO category right with the ENG cameras.

Re: B&H Prosumer Sourcebook

The B&H guys must be making some serious coin...those freakin books are as thick as my phone book. And they send one to everbody...that can't be cheap. I rarely buy anything from B&H, but the monster catalogs still keep coming. If I am getting them , then everyone else that has ever bought anything from them is getting one too.

Re: B&H Prosumer Sourcebook

Yea I got the whole collection even Still cameras! I find the big Lighting book a very usefool book for reference on various lights and lighting kits. I usually compare prices between B&H and EVS when I am ready to make a purchase. I have ended up buying the majority of my stuff from B&H which was a little cheaper than EVS.

Re: B&H Prosumer Sourcebook

i bought a Lexar compact flash card there 3 years ago and get the catalogue shipped to austria/europe!!!
they should reduce the price and save on shipping.....a small reminder of their website would do....

Re: B&H Prosumer Sourcebook

The lighting book is actually helpful. It does a good job of explaining different styles of lighting instruments and how they're used before they get into the catalogue part of the book.

"The B&H guys must be making some serious coin...those freakin books are as thick as my phone book".

What do the major networks charge for a 30 sec. ad these days? It's much more economical to send those "phone books" out if you ask me.
