Yes i have just bought one of these http://www.videomaker.com/article/13678/ and wonder if anyone else uses one and can help,i also have a RSVM but needed a small mic for DSLR and hoodcrane work,the rode has a green light that turns to red when on low battery ,there is no light on the Azden so am i right the only way to check battery level is with a battery charger leval tester espesialy before a long shoot.Secondly for recording brass and bagpipe bands what would be the best setting low cut filter on to reduce low frequency sound and increase clarity or turn the low cut switch to off for flat responce and maxium bass..its a bit confusing with the rode mic to avoid clipping with loud bands the -10dB and the - on off switch switched on cured any clipping.Grateful for any help .
