Auction Description:
Your bidding on a New - Out of the Box Azden SGM-2X. I purchased it new from a vendor, but it came without the original packaging, and after I tested it to make sure it functioned properly, I shelved it in my climate controlled gear cage. Because I don't use my personal equipment on the job, my personal gear never get's used, so this thing is literally just like new... mechanically and cosmetically Mint!
I own a production company, and we have all top-of-the-line equipment, so I have the luxury of being able to test my personal gear against the stuff we use every day in the field. I can say that this Azden mic stands up against equipment that is much more expensive. Maybe I have the opposite of a lemon and this mic is just exceptional, but it really performs well!
Because I knew I was putting it up for auction, I recently tested it (Azden SGM-2X) against a Sennheiser ME66 K6, and one of our Rode NTG-3s. I thought that the Azden sounded every bit as good as its more expensive counterpart, the ME66. The NTG-3 did sound better, but what do you expect???
