Thanks. The samples aren't too impressive, but there are some comments on the B&H Photo page saying that the lav mic that comes with the kit isn't very good. I have a bunch of lav mics and two Sennheiser G3 systems, so I might pick up one of these in the new year and see how it compares with my Sennheiser units.
 
Most system's included mics ain't that great. Even Lectro's included mics (M150 series) aren't on my favorites list. Azden's history of 3nd rate gear would deter me a lot more than a POS included mic which is usually substituted anyway.

Which is why I've stayed away from Azden up until now, but it's possible that this might be good enough for people that can't afford more expensive systems. ( just make sure you throw away the Azden lav mic )
 
a comparison with RodeLink would be interesting as they are not too far away in terms of price.
 
The Azden wireless units I have experience with all have some weird noisy companding issues.

I have no experience with this new unit, but I'm not going to waste $200 to find out.
