Award winning short movie

Hi guys,

As a rather new user of the DVX100 (PAL) I am very satisfied with the movie results with it. One of them has won an award at an American film festival last week. It was in the category "Gershwin Showcase" for which filmmakers were invited to make a short movie based on the music of selected Gershwin music compositions.

I went to your website, I liked the zzzap film, funny story and nice images. Just found some pans a bit shaky, not smooth enough.

I was not able to see Sursumfilm video with your temporary site though. Nice work Peter, I will try to see the video when in your own site.

That was really nice. Touching. Very nice exposure and comp work. My favortie shot is the perfectly exposed INTERIOR of house looking out window as older man walks by. THe exposure on that was rockin. GReat work.

ZZZAP is a bit older project, using a Sony TRV30 1 ccd camcorder, a cheap Sony tripod and my daughters wooden toy car as a dolly.
With the new movie I used the DVX100 with a Vinten PRO-5 tripod.

Why wasn't the link not playable? Are you a Mac user? I believe Microsoft updated their Media Player for the Mac to enable the Windows Media 9 playback.

Mac user, Media Player 9.0, every time I try to load, I just get the first 7 seconds and then it's stop.

Sorry to hear that. I've made the WMV9 compression with the encoder that comes with Vegas 4 and tweaked the parameters a bit to make the file not too big.
