I watched on a plasma tv 42´and it was FANTASTIC. During the first session (watched it again with comments), I was thinking: "this guy´s foolin´ everybody! this ain´t dvx. He shot with andromeda or something like that..."
It looks MUCH better on TV, something I´ve never seen in the dv 4:1:1 universe. No noise, no artifacts, awesome sharp image and color richness you usually can´t find in a digital film shot with these cameras.
Man, maybe it´s because the tons of processing they usually do to the "big movies" before compressing to DVD, but all I can say is: AWAKE beats in picture quality films like NOVEMBER, LONESOME JIM and 9 SONGS. I don´t mean cinematography is better, but picture quality surely is.

Wow, thanks gumonstro, I appreciate the kind words. I assure you I didn't shoot with the andromeda, I wish I could have, but didn't have one available at the time. I glad you got the DVD ok over there. Jdanstan, did you ever get the second DVD I sent? Fed ex is still being a jerk about the whole thing, but what are you going to do?
