avoid power off dvx100a after certain time

i want to put the cam on a 12feet jib and control with the remote zoom i build
i always have to record with the remote something before the energy saver
goes on and them i have to restart the camera switch each time
even if i plug the ac adaptor it dows the same thing. is there a way to avoid this and keep camera alive all the time so in a gala i wont have to put the jib down and reset the cam each time. or ill have to push record remote each 5 minutes to keep it alive

Have a look for "Tape Protect" in the "Other Settings" part of the menu, if I'm not mistaken (I don't have my DVX here). On the 100B, it might be called "Power Save"?
