Has anyone ever had any problems running Avid Xpress Pro 5.7 on a AMD64 Athlon X2 machine? I also have an NVidia Geforce 6100 card... I've ran it on this machine and have had nothing but problems, errors, freezing etc... Just wondering if anyone else is having these problems with that kind of processor or graphics card. Any help would be appreciated.

I run Xpress Pro 5.2 on an ASUS Crosshair mobo with an AMD X2 4200. I use dual EVGA GForce 7600 GT video cards in non-SLI mode. Works like a charm. Make sure you use the approved video driver. Check the read-me that came with your version.
I frequent the Avid forum and every time they have an update version release the board is flooded with "But it worked with the last version..." posts. Avid's code is stuck in the 90's but it's still the best NLE out there IMHO.

I am having problems with my setup also. I have the same processor and same name of card(yet the card is MXMX400) It sucks! Can I change the card and use the AMD?
No problems at all for me yet. AMD 4600 x2, 2Gb ram, Foxconn Nforce 590sli mobo and a soundblaster audigy 2 card so Avid will let me have some audio.
Just cut a 90 second promo with tons of effects and the like. Went totally smoothly. Graphics card is a Geforce 8800gts though, so possibly you guys need to upgrade the your video cards to something with a bit more 'oomph' to keep it all ticking over.
