I have started a new topic because my needs have changed. I noticed there were a lot of topics discussing exporting as a Quicktime Reference from Avid and I read through them all without any help.
My current situation is I need to export a Quicktime Reference file from Avid Xpress Pro 5.7.2 to Sorenson Squeeze. However, Sorenson Squeeze will not recognize any Quicktime Reference files.
I get the following error from Sorenson Squeeze......
Unsupported Media Format
Unable to add the source file(s). The following file(s) are not supported.
D:/My Project Name.mov
Oddly enough, when I deselect "Use Avid DV Codec" Sorenson Squeeze will recognize the quicktime reference file, but it is a white screen with audio.
My project is 720p/59.94
I am using the following versions of software:
Avid Xpress Pro 5.7.2
Quicktime 7.1.3
Sorenson Squeeze 4.3.3
Please! If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. CB had me really close to the finish line, but I just couldn't finish the job.
Here are my current steps:
My step by step process:
All tracks turned on and in and out point made around entire sequence.
Right click sequence in bin and select "export"
Options:
export as Quicktime Reference
use marks on
use enabled tracks on
Defaults: Digital Mastering
Flatten video tracks on
Fill spaces with black on
Render all video effects on
Display Aspect Ratio: Native Dimensions
Mix down audio tracks on
Audio format: AIFF-C
Sample Rate: 48KHZ
Sample Bit Depth: 16 Bit
Use Avid DV Codec on
Colour Levels: 601/709
Click: Save
