Avid to FCP

Hello everyone,

I will be editing a music video that will be shot on the RED, in media composer, and our plan is to do an online edit and color grade in FCP and Color.

I know there are a few different ways to get the sequence from avid into FCP, but what is the best, easiest, cheapest, way?
Also, our avid is running on a PC system...


Any advice would be great,

The best, cheapest easist way is to offline in FCP as well. If you already ate some budget offlining with an MC, a cmx3600 edl is the cheapest.. and easiest as long as you offlined accordingly.
 
Would you be able to point me in the direction of some more information about a cmx3600 edl, and any information about exporting one that will be computable with final cut?

Keep your reel names 5 characters or less, use no more than 4 audio tracks and no non- SMPTE transitions. No plugins, no filters.
that'll get ya goin.
