Avid to Encore DVD

I've been having a hell of a time trying to get my AVID edits into any kind of DVD program. I was told to use the Sorenson Squeeze export option to get my avid files to export as MPEG2 files, but when I do that they show up as 1 quick time file and 1 media player audio file on my desktop, and then when I try to import them into DVD Encore I get a message saying that Encore can only import files with a frame rate of 24 or 29.97 fps.
I shoot with a DVX100a and all my video is shot at the standard 29.97 fps, so I'm not sure how my AVID sequence could be anything but 29.97 fps.

Please Help!!!!!!

You need to take the Quicktime movie file into Sorenson Squeeze and encode as elementary <PEG2 streams. Take the MPEG streams into your authoring program.

Export it as a quick time reference then use another aplicattion like tmpegenc or procoder to make dvd files (they have presets) and then take it to encore. Allways works.
Anyway don´t have a clue about why your way doesn´t works.
Try to see if encore recognize the Qt reference, or any other video files. Just to try, don´t let encore make the conversion to mpeg2. It does awful
