Avid settings for capturing?

After capturing and exporting in Avid my video looks interlaced. What is the settings for the panasonic dvx100a in Avid; no fields, upper field firs or ...? Thanks in advance.

In a 23.976 NTSC project, you should be shottong F5 or ADVANCED pulldown. If not, you need XPress Pro 5.1 to deinterlace properly.

So does this means that AVID will not deinterlace properly if I was shooting with the F1 setting?

F1 on the camera is not 24fps, it is shooting 29.97fps intelace and can only be used in a 30i project.

Ok I haven't explain my self well, basically what I need to know is:

"On Avid's Import Setting window (File Field Order) I have 3 options
1- Non-interlaced
2- Odd Upper field first &
3- Even Lower field first
I've been looking for this information on the camera's operational mannual without any luck, so what is the right setting?

That is for importing files such as TIFF, etc. For live video capture, the project type defines this.
