Hey.. I'm just looking for some good avid xpress plugin's.. free would be nice.

anyone know of anywhere to find such a thing?
 
Nah its not a bummer that FCP has tons of free plugins. Use FCP if you got your hands on it. If I had to choose for all reasons, FCP and Vegas Video would be my #1 choices. And to think, a year ago I downed the hell out of Vegas. Avid is great but so less stable than the other 2 and alot slower these days.

Whew! I'd argue with that one! Avid stability is all about the computer it's running on. Avid can be solid as a rock if you're set up properly.
 
That is very true. But not 100% true. I have a computer at work (which you know all about) that is crappy and runs avid pretty crappy as well, though sometimes it does work good.

But my computer at home, which is a beast that runs like a champ with every peice of software I use on it, hates AVID. Avid crashes way too much and forced me to buy Vegas. and then eventually when I got the powerbook I bought FCP and woooooahh love that. Though I do hate editing on a laptop so I hardly use it but its great and very easy!

I will tell you what, we run Adrenaline version 1.6.6 on a dual 3 Xeon and the computer does great, the software craps out on us all the time. All sorts of errors. There is one error that really amazes me, when you get over 5000 omfi files the system freaks out. I am sure many of these are addressed with upgrades but the company I work for can't put up the doe to get it.
 
Avid gives me the "acception" errors once and a while.. im a computer technician and my comptuer is in tip top shape..
