Avid newbie Help!

I'm an ex-Adobe PPro user and am new to Avid. I need a little help getting started. I've shot a project in F6 advanced and I need to know which settings I use to capture and edit in a native 23.976 timeline eventually to burn a progressive DVD. In Adobe you hit a preset for the DVX and off you go -- then you burn a DVD off the program itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW I'm using Avid Express Pro HD 5.2 on a PC. Thanks.

Just create a 23.976 NTSC project, go to film/24p settings and make sure the cadence is set to ADVANCED. Go to capture tool and away you go...

Thanks for the quick reply. If I were to use F5 and just wanted to cut it in a 30i timelime, I would just select 30i right? If that's the case what is the 24P setting used for? Also what would I do if I shot 30P? I mainly shoot 16:9 Is there something I need to select before I start my project (as in Adobe) or does it do it automatically. Lastly, If I wanted to output to DVD I'm assuming there is not an internal burner -- what output setting should I use. It came with Sonic DVDit. Thanks again for the help.
