Hey Nik,

I'm curious, what do you know about the color correction capabilities of the new FCP Studio? My Avid Express Pro 5.6 can do detailed color curves editing. You can put multiple keypoints on any of part of the color curve and manipulate very specific ranges (i.e. completely redraw the shape of the curve). Now I know that my FCP 5.0.4 could come anywhere close to that kind of control. Can the new FCP Studio do this? It seems like it offers some form of curves manipulation, but I'm unclear whether you can plot multiple keypoints.

And while were at it? Have they improved upon their God-awful 8-point matte system?

There's a lot of information already out about FCP Studio 2. Here' s the part about Color. I am not familiar with Avid's capabilities but this is clearly way beyond what was in the old FCP.
