Wow, excellent! I'll take advantage of that. Also, do you know if the Xpress Pro Upgrade is still available? (Yes I know, it's crazy I'm still on Xpress)
 
There might be... I need to check on that. Also, for students that are online here, the student version is $299 and includes four years of upgrades.

Yeah I think so too, especially since I have a project shot on a DSLR coming up to edit... the new system should make it a snap :)
 
Brandon, go for the box upgrade - $495. It will give you Boris Continuum Complete 6, Squeeze 6, Avid FX (aka Boris RED), AvidDVD6, and Smartsound for only $100 more. Absolutely worth the extra money.

In the meantime, download MC5.0 and check it out. I have the installer sitting on my desktop, and it's killing me that I have to finish a project before I can check it out. Still buying it tomorrow, though.

i tried it, but its crap !!!
I import via AMA some footage from my canon 7d , in 2 macs (macbookpro intel core2duo 4gb RAM and imac i7 8gb ram) and i cannot playback it smoothly , not one layer ...
I cannot edit it , its so slow, in premiere cs5 i can playback the same footage easilly.
For me its not worth the upgrade.
 
Hm. I am downloading now as well, I'll have to try it out.

Maybe you're doing something wrong? Does it transcode the footage?
 
Just downloaded the upgrade... the interface is slightly different than Xpress Pro HD... will have to get used to it, but it seems much more powerful :)
