First of all let me get the spec's of my macbook pro out of the way.....
15. Inch
2.16ghz Intel
2 gig ram
100mb 7200rpm SATA HD
ATI Radeon x1600 256mb Video
I put together this computer mainly for video editing knowing that it was not currently Avid compatable, and may never be. But would Avid really release the UB version of Xpress Pro and not make it compatable with the Macbook Pro? I have heard that it will run and some NVIDIA Intel Macs with bootcamp with mixed results. But my main question is does anybody think Avid would NOT make it compatable with the Macbook Pro computers, or does anyone have any inside info on the progress Avid is making with the UB version? Also, does anyone think it wll be compatable with the Mojo, preferably with the ability to run the Mojo on the built in FW400 and an external FW800 hardrive (using a NitroAV expresscard/34 adapter) together. I belive that using the NitroAv puts the external HD on a different bus segment than the built in FW400 slot like the mojo requires. I belive the document link below states this, if not can someone tell me if this is true?

Basically Avid is by far my NLE of choice, and I love my Macbook Pro and would be the happiest boy in the world if they became friends. Anybody else share these feeling or would like to throw in their two cents on the topic please do.
oh and p.s. things I already know. (before someone wastes some typing)
1. Never buy anything to run Avid until Avid says its ok (I just really liked the macbook)
2. FCP is a good alternative! Yes i like FCP and I purchased the UB version and it runs great but I like Avid much better (especially with the mojo for realtime mobile editing) and would much rather use it (and i dont feel I wasted money on FCP because I've now learned another powerfull NLE and I feel more valuable as an editor because of it)
3. I know the UB version is not due till December (or in Avid time sometime next March) but im as anxious to get even the slightest little bit of info on this matter as I am to find out whats gonna happen on LOST tomorrow night.
