Avid Liquid Missing Media

I just packed up my work avid liquid system and changed office locations.
I have a project final edit done, and was just waiting for sound mix to be completed.
Received the sound mix 2 days ago. so I started up my avid, and opened my project.
and bam....Red everything,....missing media.
I have my media on a external lacie drive. (it is in fact plugged it)
and the weird thing is that everything is missing media (!) except one clip, but its linked to a totally different clip.
I have done the match frame and it shows me the proper clip that it should be in the rack.
I have also tried the Verify Imported Media function and it does nothing.
I can choose to link or copy, and either one I choose does nothing.
Please help, as I've been on hold to avid for sometime now.

oh and it is hdv media so thats all fun too.

I've had this too after a system re-plug.
If you right click the clip on timeline, or in rack, and go "Properties" it should show the clip's filename.avi(etc) and the path. You can then go down this path to the file and "import" it - LINKING to the media. This usually has cured the problem for me, instantly resetting redbars back to green/grey.

possibly caused by the firewire LaCie ( I use too ) plugged into a different firewire socket?? (check drive letter and name matches your expectations! - else rightclick MyComputer - Manage - Disk Management - will give access to drive letters etc.)

If this "properties" method of tracing the media path ( L:\EDITION liquid\AV media LaCieVideo\Reels\D82-12-28-BARNSLEY.P224B034E\00070807P 00074311P.avi - typical for my setup) - if this fails to reveal the path,hence the file, then manually "explore" the windows folders on the LaCie disk to find the media - play the clip with mediaplayerclassic to check - then IMPORT the file(s) into the appropriate rack - again by LINKING the media . Bars will go from red.
