Avid Keyframing Help

Dont know if this will make sense but....

I am trying to do a color effect by using the Chroma effect on an object and pulling the black and white back round into the object.

I have the two clips...one where its the BW backround and color object and then the clip where its BW object and color backround...Right now it just cuts very quickly..I want to have it blend into it..Like the black and white backround is sucking into the object. I know I could do this in premeier or FCP using keyframes but dont know how to get it in AVID..

Any keyframe help will do at this point..AVID is killing me with their workflow.

Thanks!

Dissolve from one clip to another? Hit the \ key above Enter for the Quick Transition box.

Michael.

Yeah I tried that...only problem is when I do it it disolves the entire clip not just the BW part...If I could disolve the bw part blending into the object then it would work perfectly....but the disolve clip will be my last option if I cant do this.

Have you tried some of the different transition effects? I think a circle wipe with super feathered edges may do what you're looking for.

Although, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure of what you are asking.

Is one of the clips the start of a clip? If so, a dissolve sometimes will not work because there isn't anything to mix with. If this is the case, then move the cursor down the time line some frames then slice it and cut out the start then apply the dissolve. If that's this "no mix frames to dissolve" is the case it will now work.
