We are now in post using some form of avid platform or software
We had a shot
where
one of the cameras was set to 7.5% set up in the camera set up menue of the dvx100a .
We also thank God had the Master Pedestal set to -5 . So the Black was not badly washed out .
The second camera was set to zero on camera set up and master ped to -5
therefore\
that camera had shots with deeper black.
When facing such raw footage with different black levels and considering the recent versions of the Avid nle and platforms ,
What does the editor do?
Restore black by using a feature in the Avid Nle ?
Or degrade the better footage to match the washed out blacks ?
Thanks for a reply
