I recently upgraded to windows 7 64 and when I try to install sonic dvd it 6.2 which came with my avid (and what I use to burn DVD's because I can do it straight from avid) it will not install. The setup file will not even run. is this because of the 64bit o.s.? anyone have any suggestions of what to do or another program that works with avid so easily? I have adobe encore but I have never used it because sonic always worked for me. do I need to just learn encore? is there a fix for sonic? any advice would be great.
I also have a problem with the audio tools in avid. the audio suite plug-ins will not work. I get an error message that I don't have with me right now so I don"t expect much help until I can give more info but thought I'd tag this on at the end just in case this is a common issue with an easy fix. - FIXED. there was security software, dongle related, I had to install and audio tools work great now.
