Greetings All!
I have a dongle for Avid XPress Pro 5.6 (later upgraded to 5.7) I purchased new several years ago. This is the full, (ie NOT academic) version, and qualifies for an upgrade to Avid Media Composer 6 for only $599. The regular price to purchase Avid Media Composer 6 is $2,499. I also have the original discs and manuals (though they are not necessary to receive the upgrade). I have been hanging on to this all along with the thought to one day upgrade, but we have since made the move over to Adobe, so alas it's time to let someone else scoop this offer. The details on the Avid upgrade offer is here on the Avid site:

Asking $299 or best offer, which means that plus $599 will get you a full version of MC6 for about 1/3 the usual price.
One advantage to going this route is that after the upgrade you will have a Dongle based MC6 system, which Avid no longer offers for free, but I am told charges $299 to convert a software only license to a Dongle based license.
I have bought and sold thousands of dollars of gear here on DVXUser, and I'm also willing to help with whatever maybe necessary with upgrading and/or transferring the license (if necessary). I am not offering to pay the license transfer fee ($100, I think), but I will give the buyer my Avid logins and account information with the purchase of the Dongle.

NOTE - I had originally offered this dongle up last month for an upgrade to Symphony, but unfortunately I waited for the last day of the upgrade to post on the forum, 2 hours before I was leaving on a trip where I had no access to email for more than 24 hours. I had several offers, but alas the offer to upgrade to Symphony was over before I could confirm with any of the buyers. Just mentioning this is case any of you think this post looks a bit familiar.
