avid color correction

I've been working on a project and for some reason when I go to try and color correct some scenes, all of the scenes are lumped into 1 big scene.... so I can't correct just one.

I click on color correction, put the timeline on the clip I want to correct and then in the CC function, there is nothing in the previous, or next clip monitors... and only one in the current monitor.

Any idea what I have to do to change this?? I've never had this happen before and am a bit confused! Thanks for your help!!

Have you selected the segment using segment mode? (the red arrow button)? It should be purple when everything else is not. Then drag the CC effect onto it.

You probably have a video track selected other than the one you're trying to correct. If you have a blank V2 track selected and you're trying to color correct V1, then Avid will stick a color correction effect over the whole of the V2 track rather than correcting individual clips on V1.

It's a bit of a strange way to work, but that's how it is...
