AVID and progressive video

I imported some 24p footage shot with the JVC 250 camera.
When I exported as a QT ref. it was all interlaced. I also exported all the other formats and they were all interlaced.
I took it into Sorenson squeeze and it looks fine after I rendered a file.
Is this the normal work flow for 24p in AVID?
Is there anyway to export a progressive video.
I use the MC adrenaline.

I'm not familiar with that JVC camera, but doesn't that camera convert the footage to an interlaced file format in-camera? So maybe you're actually importing interlaced footage into Avid to begin with? I wonder if you have to use a pulldown process to get the JVC footage back to true progressive. Avid can probably do that pulldown for you at the capture stage, but not at the export stage.
