Avid and Magic Bullet

I am going to be mixing archive 29.97 footage with 24p footage shot on my DVX is a project coming up. If I am going to convert the 29.97 footage to 24p via magic bullet before I import to Avid, do I need to set any special parameters in regards to pulldown...and how do I do so.

BTW...I am using Avid Xpress v5.1.6

Hi LA,
Is the archive footage from film or video? If it was shot on film then telecined, you can also use after effects' "interpret footage" to get the same result.

its actually all video 29.97 stuff. i am hoping, as most others are with their projects, that there will eventually be a small theatrical release, so that would be my final output. so should i bullet the stuff then put it into Avid??
