Avid+AfterEffects using HVX 720PN

I am shooting a kid's pilot show this weekend, and we'll be shooting on the HVX at 720PN. Now, the whole show is shot on a green screen, so we'll be using After Effects to composite. What settings to After Effects should I use? And what settings from After Effects should I use? I want to maintain full quality throughout. Thanks!

Just off the top of my head:

Tiff sequence out of Avid and into AE.

Tiff Sequence out of AE and into Avid or Quicktime Animation codec out of AE and into Avid.

But I don't work with AE often so there might be better options.

Brandon, just use the Quicktime reference files to go out of avid (make sure that Avid DV codec is on in the settings) leave it on 601. Then out of after effects use the quicktime avid 1:1 codec and leave the color at 601. If you need anymore help let me know. Also if you ever need an avid guy for work, let me know.

Paul, I'll be using another computer for the AE stuff, so I'll need to export as self-contained quicktimes. What are the settings then?

What I do at work sometimes is export out of avid with the settings that paul told you with qt movie if on different computer.

exactly. Just use the quicktime avid 1:1 codec to export the files and then put them on a external hard drive.
The only problem would be if the computer that you are transfering to does not have the avid 1:1 codec, then the files wont work. Check to make sure you have matching codecs on both machines, I ran into this problem one time and a lot of time was wasted.

I should be able to DL the Avid codec from the web and install it on the other computer, right?

Also, Paul, did ya get that link?

I just came over to the Avid-forum to see if there is a solution for the 720-editing on Avid, like someone suggested to me...!

Nothing so far(from what i have seen..!) i guess 720, specially is not yet supported bei Avid yet (at least for most of their versions..), so make sure that you do some tests in 720pn and Avid before you start...we had a gig with 50 hours of interviews and no way to edit it after, waseven harder because of some audio things...no good solution yet...!
