AVID 5.24 and HVX 480 24PA

Just wondering if anybody has tried this.

Using the HVX200 I shot to the P2 card (480 24PA DV).
I'm doing this because I'm still finishing a project that was started using the DVX100a.

If I try to IMPORT this footage into a 23.976 project I get an error that the frame rates don't match.

The only way I can get this footage into the project is to Play it back from the P2 (via firewire) and capture it into the project.

Is there another way to simply import this footage?

No, when shooting the DV25 rate, the P2 card is actually storing the full 59.94 fields and the 23.976 footage with either NORMAL or ADVANCED pulldown. The same for 1080. It is only the 720p format that gets stored to P2 as native 23.976 frames.
