Hey I Have Been Real Stuck On This For A While, Maybe Someone Out There Would Know What To Do:

I Shot A Movie With The Dvx100 Which Is Of Course 4:3 But I Framed My Shots With A 16:9 Crop.

After Im Done I Edited It In Avid.

My Main Goal Is To Export Out Of Avid, Encode With Sorenson Squeeze With A 16:9 Output And Then Burn It With Dvd-lab To A Dvd.

I Tried Numerous Attempts, And Everytime I Succeed With The 16:9 Crop, And It Looks Nice On My Tv, However. I Noticed Little Lines On The Screen When There Is Movement. This Is What I Want To Get Rid Of.. Anyone Know What To Do?

well i viewed it on a few tv's. I tried another method, but i feel like its not good..

I tried resizing the image height and then export as 16:9 then I went to sorenson and encode DVD with a 16:9 format and took out auto deinterlace.

That worked, but I think the resizing loses quality.

Any suggestions?

btw i tried encoding with and without deinterlace. i tried iframe changes from 15 - 30 - 1.

The resizing will always lose quality since you are rescaling the image on the vertical lines. Your best bet is to encode as letterboxed 4:3 for quality purposes.

Was this edited native 24fps or not? Of so, you can encode as progressive.

You are dealing with interlace and cropping with vertical scaling so you are getting the best you can get.
