well this may have changed with the new updates that are available, but believe it or not you will not be able to export back to tape if you use avid's 24p edit mode. They force you to purchase the mojo supplemental hardware which is a total joke, but thats what you get. If you plan on going back to tape, you'll have to edit in 29.97 - however I am pretty sure aftereffects or other similar programs can pull your original 24p frames back out of a 29.97 project when you are done for film/proscan dvd output.
