I am about to purchase my first HD spec camcorder and am trying to decide between the HPX170 and HMC150. I am currently leaning towards the HMC150 because of the SD card slot. But I am wondering how AVCHD compares to DVCPRO HD in lower light conditions. I will be doing mostly training videos in various office lighting situations. I am not trying to win any video quality awards but I still need a moderate amount of detail in 720p (and possibly 1080i) but am concerned that AVCHD might have a worse effect upon low light gain grain than the higher bitrate DVCProHD would. Any thoughts or advice?
