AVCHD spec updated

Wow -- AVCHD is five years old already. Bizarre.

Okay, three new logos: AVCHD 3D, AVCHD Progressive, and AVCHD 3D/Progressive.

I was wondering how Sony got away with calling the 1080/60p mode in the FS100 "AVCHD"; Panasonic, in their prior TM700/TM900 cameras, had to name their 60p codec something else because 1080/60p wasn't part of AVCHD. Apparently now it is.

EDIT: for more info, click here.

Yeah, saw that... that's a little stingy. The AF100 in 1080/60p goes up to 35mbps. I don't know if 28 is enough to handle double the frames... :/

I've edited alot of tm700 footage and I'm really surprised with the quality of the little camera. Very sharp and clean. It uses 28Mbps.
