AVCHD restore applications?

I've got one SD card that has some corrupted video files. When FCP tries to transcode them, FCP crashes. I can play and view the files in the camera. I can even play the files in the viewer window in the Log and Transfer window of FCP. I can even see why the files are corrupted. In some spots the video has weird blocks.

I know I may be stuck with the visual imperfections. But I can cover up the interview footage with b-roll. I can live with that.

I don't want to buy additional software (like Toast) if I don't have to. And I don't have a device like the MXO2 that I can run HDMI out of the camera and into the computer for direct capture. Before I go to any of these routes, I'd like to find some AVCHD restore applications that could work.

Anyone have success with such applications?

Yes, I failed to write that I tried that minimalistic program call AVCCAM Restorer. It restored the card image in a sense: it deleted the corrupted clips. So, now my card is a perfect card. No blemishes. No faulty clips. Not exactly the kind of restoration I was looking for. Luckily, I still had another copy of the card.

The only other suggestion I can offer is to try a different tool to transcode the files - you might find something that is more forgiving of the corruption. You might try Cineform NeoScene they hava a trial version available.
