AVCHD linking problems with Sony Nex-7 AMC 6.5

Hi everyone. I'm having some linking and transcoding problems with my new NEX-7. I shot some test footage with 25fps and 50fps modes. I downloaded the AMA plug-in and restarted my computer but when I open AMC and try to link files it still says cant link or attach files , please download AMA plugin. The funny thing is I somehow managed to add a 25fps shot from the camera and transcoded it to DNXHD but then it wouldnt do it again with the other files remaining. Could you please help me ? What would be the right workflow for my problem ? . Thanks in advance :)

Is the folder structure intact as created on camera? Also make sure none of the links to the files contain slashes (/) in them. I am going to assume you have right version of AMA for your version of MC.

Well when you just mentioned the "folder structure" some bells started to ring in my head :) I noticed when I connect the nex7 the file structure is different than what it should be ( I think because I installed the sony software+driver for nex7). The structure only has foldered assorted by the date but on a different computer (my laptop with internal sd card reader) when I inserted my SDHC 32gb card it opened different with all the sub folders and I think thats the way the structure should be for avid mc to recognize. I think ill just have to buy a cheap card reader to try it on my desktop or copy paste the whole folder and structure from my laptop.

When you asked about the AMA version, I downloaded the latest version from avid so I assume it should work ok.

edit: I get it what you mean about the right version, yes I have the right version, the one for sony nex series of cameras

Hmm ok thx for reminding me about the structure now that I bought a decent card reader for fast SD cards the vids that I film in 25p open fine but somehow I still cant open or even see 50fps videos that I filmed. Avid MC still gives me AMA cant support that file message and when I check the console in MC it says bitrate or file /codec isnt supported. As far as I know 50-60fps AVCHD files are supported by Avid MC . Thats my only problem now :) cant open or transcode 50fps video .

I have been working with some Canon RMF at 60p (59.94) recently, and I just did all my transcodes in Resolve. Perhaps that may work for you as well. Transcode to 1080i.
