AVCHD Link Clips Together ???

I have recorded some TV shows and want to edit them in FCP7 and know that I have to transcode them using ProRez422 HQ codec but my real question is how can I get them assembled into the two respective shows?

That is, I have about a dozen files of which about 6 are one show and the other 6 represent the second show. However, this is on three cameras and to make 12 sets of multi-cam sync's would be a total nightmare and someone said that there was a tool to view and choose the clips to link into the respective two clips as I have discussed and that this tool was supposedly free.

I've googled this topic and coming up with some very mixed results all of which require what looks like programming. Someone said buy Studio 12 and ingest then export the project as a single clips but that adds not only a step but very time consuming and sounds like "why did we go tapeless?" Time saving in part.

Appreciate in advance those who respond.

Well.. I feel like if you just injested as ProRes.. then dropped them all on the timeline and exported as one file.. you would get what you need and be done relatively quickly. Probably would even be done before somebody actually figures out a quick way to do it.

Thanks for responding. With regard to ingesting them into FCP, yup on the single source camera this is not an issue at all, did it, and loved how quickly it worked.

It's when you have 2 or more cameras trying to sync them up nad have . . say . . 11 or so small clips that make up the entire recording clip to sync up, let alone the small clips that make up the recording will not have sync clappers in them. I'm sure this has been covered by someone out there doing major productions with these cams AND that there is a solution, I'm just nothing entering the right search or something because I can't seem to find this exact issue.
