I'm looking for a hardware unit to act as a standalone capture device. Essentially, something like a KiPro Mini or a Ninja, but a cheaper solution that records out to a high quality 24 MB/s or higher AVCHD to SD or CF cards -- I want the quality to match that of the AVCHD compression used in the AF100 or GH2 (preferably w/o the noisy greys or trails issues). Input can be either component or HDMI. I was looking at the Blackmagic's H.264 Pro which is $350 list, but that's not available until end of 1st quarter 2011 at the earliest. Any suggestions?
