AVCHD 2.0 HIGHER LUMA SAMPLING FREQUENCY: any real advantage?

Since the announcement of the new firmware I've been wondering if there would be subtle changes in our camera output quality by moving to the AVCHD 2.0 format.
Hence, I just checked here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AVCHD (bottom part - specifications)
and despite the disappointment for finding the same CHROMA SAMPLING values and QUANTIZATION I noticed that the luminance sampling frequency is TWICE the older one.
Now, does anyone know if this could take to a real advantage?

I just realized that the increase of frequency matches the 2x progressive frame per second spec.
I guess I was just hoping to find something interesting for the new AF100 firmware and share it with you but this is not the case.
Too bad!
