1080p24 GOP Size_______1

Max bitrate will be about 100 Mbps, middle bitrate 30-60 Mbps, without any empty frames, artefacts. But you can shoot only middle detailed scenes.
Not for high and low detailed scenes.
Sandisk Extrene 30 Mb/s recomended.

Some notes:
If you set in bitrate settings value smaller than 100000000 , you will get empty frames.
Somewhere about:

With 90000000 value will be 2-3 empty frames from 24 fps
With 80000000 value will be 3-4 empty frames from 24 fps
With 60000000 value will be 6-9 empty frames from 24 fps
With 16000000 value will be 12-14 empty frames from 24 fps

But with 100000000 and bigger values empty frames will not be.

In Native mode, If you not touch Video Buffer setting, you can't shoot with values bigger than 59000000(Video Bitrate Adjustment)
Bigger values will be available with Video Buffer 28.000.000 and bigger

Update
Added 720p25/30 GOP 1 patch, wich more stable in high detailed scenes than 1080p25/30 GOP 1.

It would be nice if somebody test this firmware with Sandisk Extrene 30 Mb/s

Link for download http://rapidshare.com/files/444986917/GH1__140.bin

What card were you shooting with?

I testing my card and here is write speed test with HD_Speed
GH1 uses 32k cluster size, and with this size speed is only 50-54 Mbps

Thanks for sharring this humpman
I did a test with your bin file using a Sandisk Extrene 30 Mb/s card and it holds up pretty good so far. Is there anyway you can store your settings in J section of Ptools and link you setj.ini file so I can add it to my Ptools settings.
I'm going to do some exterior shots today to see how it fares.

It's not possible yet with new versions of ptool, because there is no Video Buffer setting.
I shoot trees and i get error after 1-3 sec recording

Just got back from some test in the forest filmed at 24p f8-22 1/50 - 1/100 iso 100 - 250. Got some great shots that held on between 47 - 83 MBps. It did locked up on a few very high detail scenary but the clips survived about 8 seconds and where at 92-97 MBps. My past experience with such high bitrate patches caused the camera to lock up right away and I would have to drop the battery to recover. This patch seems a bit more stable. I wonder if the new SanDisk Extreme® Pro™ SDHC card would handle these bitrates better it can peak at 45MBps.

I can't save settings because there is no A-J buttons.
Enter this settings manually

Interfacce language Englsih
Native 24p/25p____Checked
Video Buffer_______84.000.000
All bitrate settings__100000000

In this firmware which in 1# post, i set Version Change 14, that mean you should set 15 for next updating

humpman, is it normal that your 8gb class10 card scores less than half of my 16gb class10? With my PQI 16gb c10 I get 115M bits/s Average (same 32kb block size and write)!
