Automotive type battery Adaptor for DVX100A?

I visited relatives out in Phoenix a couple months ago and I saw a video crew using a DVX100A (same camera I have). They were using a car battery for power to run the camera and a couple small lights. When they took a break
I talked to the videographer and learned that someone at their office had rigged up an adapter.

My BIG CONCERN would be not having the correct power and my camera getting ZAPPED! The guy said he would mail me a diagram... but it never
happened.

Are there any "professionally manufactured" adaptors available from Panasonic or another reputable company? I searched B & H and a couple
other sites... and found nothing. Does anybody know where I can either
find out more about using an automotive, lawn tractor or wheelchair battery
or purchase a "safe adapter"????

There are direct 12V converters on there, and some of the chargers will also do the conversion.

Ive been using these for years, when I do a big job. You can also get the Lowel 50watt cigarette plug in lights with a bogen superclamp and have portable 3200k lights
