We are about to buy a DVX-100A, and need to know one last thing before taking the plunge.
Does this camera shut down automatically after a certain period of time of being on, in the "camera" mode? In other words, we wan't to be able to use it in the studio for uplinks and also for webcasting, so no tape is required. We just want to be able to shoot continuous video without it shutting down on us. I know it goes to standby mode when in record/pause mode after a while, but we will probably not even have a tape in it for these events.
I tried the owners manual (PDF), and it's too vague. Anybody try this?
