automatic audio

Hi - I love my DVX100, but the thing is that when I am shooting live events, it is very hard to have to "ride" the audio when it gets low or high I have to bring the levels up or down. It would be great if this camera had an automatic audio to prevent it from peaking or being too low.

does anyone have the same problem? if so, how have you dealt with it

hi, i just have this problem recently, my sound just when peak easily.

but i solve it by switching the MIC ALC function to on. Maybe you can try that.

BTW, anyone here know what does ALC stands for?

More like "Limiting" (whether or not that's what ALC expands to).

All it will do is prevent overloading, not adjust up or down to keep the audio level.

Yep.

You want things to to do that, anyway. "Riding the level" sounds like crap...a whisper wind sup the same volume as a shout.
