hiya, do you have to use panasonic lenses on the AF101 to get autofocus ?


also, what does the camera focus on ? are there different modes ?

This is NOT a good camera for autofocus, it works with some lenses, but I do not recommend it. The best option is use Push to Auto in conjunction w/red peaking when in a serious hurry. As far as lenses that communicate with the camera, just search the forum, there is a ton of info available on this.

The best video camera type autofocus lens for the Af-101 right now (auto iris, auto focus, OIS) is the Lumix 14-140. But as stated above, it's still not as good as a real video auto focu lens as found with an HVX or EX. But it's better than nothing in run and gun situations.
