GH4 autofocus during recording issue (post update)

hey guys, just got a 2nd GH4 and did the firmware update to the latest. I can't for the life of me figure out how to shut off this auto focus during recording. Yes, keeping the switch on Manual keeps it from doing that. But on my other GH4, I have it so I can half press for focus on any target area everytime I want focus there. Its doing this automatically now and as a result, its constantly hunting focus during recording. How do I shut this damn autofocus off? I want it to work when I tell it to by half-pressing !!

Pls advice. Thanks!

The touch screen makes the whole video AF issue so easy: Set AF mode to AF-S with variable box, and adjust box size by touching to turn border yellow then adjust size with rear wheel. In Movie Menu, set AFS/AFF "AFS" and Cont. AF "off". In Custom spanner menu pg. 8 "Touch Settings" - set Touch screen "on"; Touch Tab "on"; Touch AF "AF"; and Touch Pad AF "Exact". Then save these settings to one of the five "Custom Set Mem." available settings on the main dial, along with your general video settings - top of the Custom spanner menu.

With LCD flipped out and horizontal, simply touch where you want focused on the screen, and "set" if the yellow box distracts. To change focus, touch your next point. The 12-35/2.8 does this quite smoothly with almost imperceptible hunting, even in pretty low light. I keep peaking on to confirm. Focus stays locked with camera movement until you touch screen again. Otherwise with me, it's MF w/peaking all the way.

Pete
