Auto Off Cylinder Lock

Hey guys. I popped a head cleaning tape into my dvx100a and after playing it for about thirty seconds by camera came up with an error message that said "Auto Off Cylinder Lock". Now my camera won't fast forward through tapes and is being weird. What can I do to fix this?

Exactly. Five to ten seconds, tops. I stick to five.

The directions on thehead cleaning tape said so. I have never used one before so I just followed the directions. I am currently on the phone with the customer support of the producer asking them how they are gonna compensate for me not being able to use my camera.

I cant imagine they will do anything for you.
take it in somewhere have them clean/ look at it
take a new tape and record for a while, dont rewind this tape ever. throw in gabage.

I called Dynex (the maker) and talked forever on the phone with some guy I could hardly understand. In the end they said that an executive would call be back this week and they would have a solution. I'll take it somewhere tomorrow to get it looked at. I have two jobs in the next two weeks I have to get done so hopefully I still can.

Dynex? you mean BestBuy..

Yeah Dynex is a division of Best Buy, but they have there own customer support stuff seperate from Best Buy.
