Auto ISO or I ISO whats the difference.

Is it me or is the GH2 manual a little lacking in detail. I know men dont read instruction books but I did read this one honest but a bit more meat would be nice.

If it wasnt for these forums I would the camera set on auto everything all the time.

Anyway can anyone explain to me the difference between Auto ISO and I ISO please.

I dn't know the actual functional difference between the two, but it says in the GH2 manual that i-ISO can only go to 800 max, whereas auto ISO up to 12800.

You can get the auto ISO while in Motion Picture mode by going in the settings and changing to "aperture priority" (A) or "shutter priority" (S).

How do you lock the ISO in movie mode? Any time I set a specific ISO, it changes once I begin recording, and turns in to "auto" mode.

I'd like to have full manual control over ISO in video mode.

...just bought a used GH1 :-D
