Auto Focus in 24p mode

Have you noticed a sluggish response for auto focus when you switch to 24p (similar to what happens on the DVX)?

I have asked this question in the past and the answer was that it responds slower than in the 60p/i mode. I expect that the responds of autofocus in this price range will always be not that well.
