Auto exposure

I have two dvx100s on an outdoor video project. Although I normally would like to set exposure manually, the outdoor lighting is so variable that I am tempted to use auto exposure. The only problem is matching the B Roll with the fixed main camera. Since the B camera is on a jib there is the chance of inconsistent lighting when the auto exposure fixed on the wrong subject; especially where the B camera is moving about the content. Has anyone had experience using auto exposure with outdoor shots and two cameras?

Re: Auto exposure

I would personally never use AUTO EXPOSURE. We have all seen what it looks like as the camera adjusts itself and its so horribly noticable. I'd do a WB in the available light and then adjust the EXPOSURE how you want it and then match it with CAM B.

Whats the project?
