How bad is auto exposure on the HPX170?
I am filming a friend's art event. 3 hour performance, basically of a crowd moving through and interacting with an exhibit, indoors in a windowed room, starting before sunset and finishing after. The camera will be up on a high shelf accessibly by ladder. The hope was to set it and forget it on auto exposure but now I'm wondering if changes in the composition of the crowd or someone passing in a white shirt will effect the exposure and make it shift quickly one way and then shift back or worse leave it at an incorrect exposure. I want to achieve a gradual change in iris to keep the exposure even throughout. Is that realistic or am I better off manually adjusting every 20 minutes or so?
Any thoughts would be helpful.
Thanks a ton.
BTW I have seen similar posts on time lapse but not really relevant.
