Yes, Great Northern Video, bought my first DVX from them right when they first came out. The camera was defective, they gave me a new one right away. Good people.

ZGC doesn't show up as authorized on the Panasonic website, using the zipcode listed on their webpage.

OK. So I got confirmation that ZGC is not an authorized dealer. They admit that. They however reassured me that they purchase through an authorized vendor and it is a US model and even moreso the units they have include the magic bullet software. They said it isn't even inside the box but attached on the outside....like a stuck to box with adhesive or something. Deos this sound right to you?

I have a credit through them and would like to use it toward the DVX100A. In addition their price is right inline with all of the authorized dealers.

I have nothing but good things to say about ZGC and they are well known and highly regarded.

If you have to buy it through them, and they're guaranteeing you that it IS a US unit with a US warranty and the Magic Bullet for Editors in the box...

... I don't know how the transaction could go bad. Sounds okay. I mean, ZGC isn't some fly-by-night hole-in-the-wall operation like some of the Brooklyn stores. If they're buying authorized-dealer cameras and that's what they're selling you, and the price is competitive, you're probably okay with it. Just make sure you can return it if it's not what you thought it was.

Wonder why they don't just get authorized?

I don't know anything about but can you be a Panasonice and Canon dealer? I used to work in the retail music industry and the way that worked was if you were a Fender dealer you probably couldn't be a gibson dealer. Some manufacturers prefer to have exclusives with their authorized dealers.

Just guessing on that though.

From those who have purchased a DVX with Magic Bullet, is the software supposed to be in the box or on the outside?  I am curious as well...

i believe resellers who had older stock of dvx's bundled magic bullet from outside the box...current shipment to resellers have them inside the dvx box.

if you plan on purchasing w/ zgc, they are a legit honest place. i've worked w/ barbara and(gosh i forgot her name) and each time they have been 110% stupendous. i'm actually shocked that they aren't an authorized panny dealer.

Fuboy, I got my DVX recently, and the software's inside with a "congratulations" sticker on the outside.

In an email from ZGC it was stated that there is a big blue sticker on the outside of the box. In this email it didn't say the software was on the outside.

Does a blue sticker match the modus operandi? (MO)

Quick question: If a company is selling a camera on the cheap; claims to have the magic bullet software & a U.S. warrenty..... should I go for it and will panasonic honor the warrenty????

Depends on the company. If they're a bunch of lying scumbag thieves, why would you want to even deal with them, much less trust them? Lying scumbag thieves will tell you whatever you want to hear, just so they can get that credit card from you, and then try to "upsell" you on grossly inflated worthless accessories.

If they're a good solid reliable seller (like ZGC), then yeah, it may be a good bet.

I can't think of a single reliable seller who sells "on the cheap", so the odds against you actually getting the deal they're advertising are probably pretty slim.

And no, expresscameras is not an authorized reseller.

It is a special verion that has a bit of a traing session on it and it is most definitely inside the box. If it is outside the box then there is likely to be a problem. I may have to consider changing my promotion.

BTW, There is a little blue label on the outside of the box that says that the box has been cut open for the reason of putting MB inside.

Hope this helps and if ZGC says it is on the outside of the box, it is gray market!

In order to clarify.....ZGC did in fact confirm that there is a blue label on the outside of the box and that the software is inside. A very off the cuff omment was made to me from them a few days earlier when I called them 15 minutes after they closed and asked about magic bullet. THe person told me (in a hurry) "yeah....I know it's included because its on the outside of the box...stuck on". They obviously meant the label and not the software...but in the haste of the conversation they weren't clear so I asked.

I just want to make it clear that ZGC is selling legit DVX units. They have been awsome to work with and I highly recommend them for any of you needs!
