Hello Zach,

We ship for free... UPS ground. We have cameras in stock and we can ship the same day the order is received (latest is 4:00pm eastern)

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. andrewh@spec-comm.com

I called Specialized Communications today (11-19-07) and they are already out of the dvx100b. Tried a Full Compass too and they are out.

I shopped at creativevideo.co.uk and had the hardest time ever paying with creditcard.
Since cardholders addy was different than delivery addy they invented a " security" scheme that deducts two small penny amounts which you have to enter in the website in order to clear your identity. to make it short: amex and mastercard made 1 US$ out of the two different amounts and in the end I had to send a friend with cash to get my stuff in time.

My experience has been that the $1 entries are placeholders representing queries from the retailer's computer to your bank's. Usually they mean the retailer's computer timed out before the bank's replied. In almost every instance the $1 value vanishes after 48 hours or so and you're not out any money at all.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to buy the DVX-100 (PAL version) or the Australian model, DVX-102; but I work primarily in editing so I'm really out of my league and any help finding a reliable company willing to ship to Australia would be fantastic. (That's actually been my main problem so far since all the places I've checked which offer great deals only ship within the US)

I contacted a store in Sydney called 'Lemac' and was quoted a price of $4,540 AUD but ideally I'd rather not spend so much if there are cheaper alternatives from other sources that users found trustworthy.

After reading here about 'Global Media Pro' I don't want to send them any money (Thank you for the info by the way), but I was also curious if any one had dealt with 'Expandore' which wasn't mentioned in the list.

Any advice you can give would be very appreciated, thank you guys in advance!!

- Sammi

Has anyone purchased a DVX100B recently? I'm looking to buy one from an Authorized dealer but most places don't carry the camera in stock and have to order it.. so it will take a while longer. And I think the rebate ended on June 30th, can anyone confirm this? Any ideas if there will be a new one and when it will be released? I'd like the buy the package that comes with Magic Bullet Editors too, if that's possible.

The sooner you place an order, the sooner you get it. :)

Confirmed. It ended June 30. I don't know when or what the next rebate will be.

Anyone purchased from avalive.com? They claim they're authorized Panasonic retailer. It is hard to verify, as Panasonic does not put the online retailers on their authorized dealers list. I was only able to find 4 (four) customer opinions on the web and they ranged from 'very satisfied' to 'beware!'.

avalive is not a Panasonic Broadcast Dealer that I am aware of. Ask if you can return it if it does not turn out to be a US camera. It will have a 16GB P2 Card and a copy of Barry's book.

Keep in mind your 5 year warranty is in the country of origin.

Best,

Jan

Thanks for info, Jan. I managed to find them using the Panasonic dealer locator. They appear as Triangle Visual Interactive, actually.

How exactly did you find them. I entered their zip code on Panasonic dealer locator website and they didn't come up.

I tried again with AVCHD products and their zip 28405-3655 and they came up on the Panasonic dealer locator.

There's always a manufacturer's warranty. It just may not be in the USA, it'll be in whatever country that Newegg bought the camera from.

I don't think this was on the unauthorized dealers. Soniccameras.com. Also does anyone know about the current deals on the DVX100B? Panasonics latest rebate ended December 31st of 2008. And I know the DVX100A had even better rebates when the discontinued it.
